Artist Statement: I have always been drawn to and inspired by everyday life, which is why I mindfully document the little things. In my paintings, I incorporate an ethnographic approach to capture the little moments we experience. I like creating art that brings happiness, wonder, joy, gratitude, and depicts lots of things to be happy about. I do paintings from photographs and my versions of New Yorker covers. I take inspiration from many artists including Jean-Jacques Sempe, David Hockney, Yayoi Kusama, Wolf Kahn, Gretchen Dow Simpson, Ilona Karasz, Pierre Le Tan, and Deborah Gregg.
